Level of the languages spoken

 

No knowledge:

You do not have any knowledge of the language. Probably you know some words and phrases like salutations and the expression of gratefulness.  

 

Basic knowledge:

You have the basic knowledge of the language and come to terms with it in every day life. But you fail to understand the consecutive conversation.

 

Sufficient:

You have sufficient knowledge of the language to read the texts and to take part in a simple conversation. But you make mistakes in grammar, style and pronunciation. You use the wrong words in the wrong contexts.

 

Satisfactory:

You can express yourself in a comprehensible and adequate manner, you can argument, express your opinion, politely decline or ask. You can lead a conversation about things of every day life. But you still make mistakes in choosing the right word (adequacy), in your fluency and grammar.  

 

Good:

You express yourself in a confident and sophisticated way also in complex situations; understand specialized texts and challenging literature. You can defend and argument in a confident and sure manner, act and react to all the situations adequately. But now and then you make mistakes in choosing the right word (sense, adequacy) or grammar.

 

Very good:

One can hardly tell you from a native speaker. You can easily follow complex lectures and reports. The mistakes that you still make are slips of your tongue or pen.
